Introduction

Hello and welcome to my Secret River literary interpretation blog!

I chose to do a literary interpretation on the class system in The Secret River. In particular, I plan on exploring the differences in the class systems of the English colonial culture and Aboriginal culture described in The Secret River. I will then examine the social and political aspects of each culture. Finally, I will examine whether Grenville makes an argument that one culture's class system contributes to larger overall happiness and satisfaction among members of the culture.
